Bye bye Eddie we'll miss you.

He's finally had to go. At first thought I could cope with him and his intermttent crowing but recently his crowing has been getting more frequent until pretty much all day.

Neighbours none too pleased.

So I have taken my pride & joy up to Farmer Parrs (a kind of open farm where kids can interact with animals), I do hope he will be ok, I was heartbroken about letting him go, and have hung on to him as long as possible without possibility of getting an ASBO.

I have about twenty cocks here and some very tolerant neighbours. It sounds silly but I can't sleep unless I can hear them  If I hear the sound that they make if a predator is in with them, then I'm up like a shot otherwise I sleep on like the dead.
I find it very strange when we go anywhere and I'm deprived of the sound that my fowl make.

Sad really, I know

You are lucky to have found a good home for Eddie.  There are bound to be a few cockerels in my newly hatched chicks and I will have to find a good home for them.  I doubt I will be so lucky.

He'll be having a wail of a time with all those hens and being an open farm - you'll be able to go see him every once and awhile.  :)
Live every day as your last - enjoy life and smile.

Yeah it seems awfully quiet round here now he's gone.  I liked to hear him too!  The hens, paricularly Polly seemed to miss him but now seem to have got over it, at first Polly was wandereing aimlessly round garden well after dark and first night minus Eddie had to put her in hen house.

Munty he was more like Eddie Murphy than Eddie Irvine.
