Are they cross breeds Rachel?  Brown one looks like our Babcocks, which are same as Columbian blacktails.  Black one looks a bit like the black rock type of breed, light one possibly faverolle?  And pom pom one, poland?  Or maybe silkie cross/poland?

But I'm probably totally wrong!

The light one looks like a Salmon Faverolle, but I can't see the face fully or the legs. If it is the face should have "sideburns" and the legs are feathered.

they are all supposed to be full breeds not crosses. I thought the white one might be a faverolle as she has five toes but as yet no feathers.

I was told the brown one was a light sussex and the black one was a male bt they are only 9 weeks and i have no idea I soooooo hope they are all females or the males will not be here.

These are the only survivors of 12 babies who i believe have been brough on in a contaminated incubator. They are cute arent they and it will break my heart if any are boys lol

I've just gained two bantams - cockerel & hen. He is the quietest cockerel I have ever seen. In the past few days he has managed one half-hearted attempt to crow! She is definitely in charge!

Anyway  - anyone any idea what breed they are?

I was wondering if the all black one could be a buff orpington lype breed. Is there such a thing as a black orpington as he/she is very stocky

Yes there is a black orpington, so it could be one of them!  But I think black orpingtons are black all over, although never seen a young one.  Your black one actually looks like its got laced feathers.  Which are very pretty!

mmmm, what do you think???
