Hi, just wondering if it is best to buy mixed grit and offer it the chickens in one container, or buy grit and oyster shell separatly, and offer in 2 pots-or does it not make much difference?

I have it in separate pots.  Chickens will flick out what they don't want to get to what they do so you might have more waste if it is mixed.

I have mine mixed together in one pot, and my hens seem fine with it, they tend to root around for what they want. I've not noticed much waste, however I only have a few ladies. Even Still they seem quite contented with the mixed Grit I give them!

My hens would not eat grit from a dish.
I just put a boarder of oyster shells and grit in their run and they think they have found it themselves
