Hi,  I have about 15 chickens which have been laying around 10-12 eggs per day recently,  but around 2 weeks ago they seem to have stopped laying and I only get about 3 or 4 a day.  I have checked for lice and they are all clear of them.  I am feeding them on a mix of layers pellet and corn which is the same as normal no change there.

The chickens I have are Orpingtons and warrens so not sure if the breed is a reason with the weather change of the warm days.

Thanks
Dave

Try giving them a tonic to pep them up. Thats worked for us in the past.

Hi
Have you checked for red mite in the coop or could there be a fox hanging around or could they have had a fright as I believe this can put them of laying.
When you say you give them a mix of pellets and corn what do you men? They should be getting layers pellets ad lib and just a handful of corn in the evening.  :)

Just check to see if they are not "laying away"  the recent warm weather has given many of the "brooding breeds" and inclination to "steal a nest"

All the best
Sue

also any fox / predator worries, this can put them off laying, and crows and magpies can steal eggs, as can rats.
I love my traditional clean legged English Cuckoo Marans

I'd second darkbrowneggs' point... go hunting for a hidden nest somewhere as that's what one of mine did recently  ::) found 8 in the corner of the compost heap all tucked away!
