I agree, it looks like raspberry mosaic virus. Soon you'll likely see brown edges on the plants. Here is some preventative help that will also work in the UK:

Counsels of perfection I fear.  Who is able to plant new raspberries a minimum of 16m from infected ones?

I have always had a running battle with summer fruiting raspberries which try to die on me all the time.  At the moment I have a few strong canes bearing large delicious fruits.  Unfortunately they are suckers which have come up in the middle of a black currant bush.

Are you giving the plants lots of feed (compost/manure) in early spring, gillie? They're gluttons for food as well as water. This year after I feed mine, I have to apply a really heavy leaf mulch over the plot to hold moisture as my clay soil dries out too fast for them and I end up having to water  >:( Soon as it stops snowing  >:( I'll be out there flinging manure.
