Blotchy butternut squash OK to eat?

Blotchy butternut squash OK to eat?

First crop of butternut squash was harvested about two months ago. A second crop off the same plant came on. These have been growing during poorer weather and always had tiny mottled spots on skin. Now appears like they are ripening up but are doing so in a blotchy pattern. Are these likely to be edible or should I get rid of them all?

Should be fine. You’ll soon know when you cut it open if the flesh is tainted.
