Runners - from seed to harvest..
« on: March 21, 2011, 12:01 »
As some of you know I am growing for our school kitchen.

My question is - to harvest runners from september onwards (anytime before and I'll be throwing them away!) when do the good people here think I should sow? (or how long do you think I'll need before harvesting, considering where thay are to be grown)

I'll be growing them up against a six foot fence (morning sun only!) and growing Scarlet Emperor / White lady.

Thanks in advance.....

Per Dr. H. times between sowing & harvesting is 12-14 weeks, so I'd go for the beginning of June.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?
