fertile eggs---how can you tell if eggs are fertile

Incubate them and candle them from about 5 days. If they have a little dot with lines (blood vessels) spreading out from it, it is fertile. If it is clear it wasn't.

If you google candling eggs there are lots of pics to explain better.
Be like a duck. Calm on the surface but always paddling like the dickens underneath.
