Another carrot question.......

I got a bath from freecycle. and want to grow my carrots in it. I scooped up soil from the ground where we dug our pond, but it's not enough. I've no sand, and wondered if I could fill the bath up with compost - is this okay for carrots?

Just need the sun to dry up the soil some so I can sieve it!

yes ..... but better yet you can get  bag of sharp sand from focus /b&q fer a couple quid :wink:

I'd be tempted to throw in any spent potting compost / growbags you may have from this year's activities too
