Hi   If you are picking them up in the evening I would let them rest overnight to make sure they are OK before putting them in the incy first thing in the morning.

Marans eggs are difficult to candle.  I've just bought an 800 lume pen light specifically for this, and I can just about see enough to tell clear from viable - but I still can't see any great detail. 

having said that, unless you are really stuck for space, it is HIGHLY unlikely an egg will explode after 25 days, even if it is unfertile, so I would probably just leave the whole lot in to be on the safe side!
