I'm not saying they're not genuine, or weren't, it makes me think they may no longer be trading - unless someone know differently.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

No BUY buttons that I could see, and "VIEW CART" says "Essential work is being carried out on the shop. It is not possible to place orders at the moment. Please try again later"

That message may have gone up 5 minutes ago, and they ARE busy upgrading the site (on a Sunday evening, natch!) ... or it might have been there for months ...

oh well, never mind.
Sites can be online one minute and off the next for any number of reasons.

Aunt Sally was trying to be helpful, and who knows it may come good yet.
Unless otherwise stated it can be assumed ALL posts are by Pa Snip

Yeah, I know that as I build big e-commerce sites for a living. I did try to find some resources that would tell me know long it had been off-line the shopping part has been disabled, but I didn't find anything useful (there are technical reasons why, but I was hopefully that would not have prevented me finding some conclusive evidence that I could share), and as a result I didn't post anything to that effect.

But here's a simple suggestion:

Check it tomorrows, and the next day, and the day after if you can be bothered.  If its still down If the "View Basket" is still down then ignore it as it is not a transient upgrade but the site is inactive but, worse, has not been taken down completely so that it retains its Google ranking (in some forlorn hope that they will be able to get it upright again in the future most probably)

You can't order though, it won't let you!

They also list Suttons:

http://www.nextday-seeds.co.uk/acatalog/Carrot_Seeds.html

For twice the price from Moles, I'm getting twenty times the seed.

The links to the companies down the left hand side of the home page don't work either, but I admit this could be part of the maintenance.

Another variety that wins at shows is "New Red Intermediate" sold by Suttons and others.

The secret is soil preperation but thinning to 3/4 inches apart as early as possible also helps.

Obtain 12 foot of large guttering, cut in half and form a circle with them.   Hold together with string at intervals.  drill a 1" hole every six inches along the length.  Fill the tube with cood stone free compost  and incline it at about 30 degrees.

Plant your carrot seeds 3 or four and thin out to the strongest.   water from the top but after 10 days start watering from the holes going down to induce the root to grow longer searching for water.   Easy peasy  - mine's a pint.   Cheers,  :D  Tony.
I may be growing OLD, but I refuse to grow UP !

As they already said, Tony:

Can't be bothered with faffing around like that.

Thanks for the offer DD,

I will take you up on it although when I updated Mrs Snips today she looked me straight in the face and laughed saying "Just for once let your daughter stand a chance of winning, she's only likely to be using ordinary seed varieties"
I didn't like to tell her about the onion seeds my daughter told me she has got this year   :D

Since the idea is that my daughter and her husband are going to help when and IF we ever manage to get another allotment I guess it would be good politics to heed Mrs Snips words.

But who knows, if I've got some seed I may be tempted to 'faff around' a little bit as I've already got some lengths of guttering I used for pea sowing. But not to the extent of too serious.  :)
