i got 2 cochin's from another poultry lover but he didn't know a lot about them and i can't find much information on them apart from the history of the cochin and how to prepare it for showing what i want to know is :-
how many eggs will she lay in a year
what colour are the eggs
what is the average life span of the cochin
any advice on any of the questions will be helpful

hi, i have a blue cochin, and she hasn't started to lay as of yet, but im not sure what colour eggs they lay but i think it's brownish not sure if light or dark sorry i know it's not much help

this chart tells you the colours of various breeds. Cochins though from what I can tell do not lay many eggs a year.

I read they can live for up to 8 years (pretty average then really) and lay about 3 tinted eggs a week
