What age to vary there diet?

Hi, I have 3, 3wk old chicks, Christmas pressie from my son.

They are on chick crumb at the moment, I did cut a grape up small on Monday and give it to them from my hand, they made me laugh so much running round and stealing bits from each other, they were so excited, I just wondered if this was ok?

Are there other things I can give them at this age just for the added excitment.

You can try a piece of cooked spagetti....keeps them amused for ages. Also when I raised some chicks under lamps I put a couple of woodlice in the cage and sat back and watched them....they were terrified of them but soon got the hang of the idea that they were actually a source of food.
