What should I be feeding now?

I know we feed the tomatoes when they start to show fruit :) So I'm giving them a little Tomorite with their water every other day.
But Now the beans are podding should I feed them :?:
And the sweet peppers?
And first year apple and pear trees, which we did not allow to form fruit so they will make more root - should we feed them and if so what with :?:
Former biochemist, now experimenting and having fun. :-)

I don't do chemical feeds, Jim T, but I do have a large orchard and their feed is a few shovels full of old manure each every spring. That really perks them up and puts on the leaves. The nutrient slowly leaches into the ground with each rainfall. If you're a fisherman, any sort of 'garbage' fish under each tree will also work wonders; short of that, some liquid fish emulsion will work just as well. I bury fish under my peach trees and the peach flavours are definitely enhanced. Oddly enough, no animals dig up the fish. Considering we're close to August, I wouldn't go too heavy on any high nitrogen fertilizers or you could end up killing the trees.

Please explain the August and high nitrogen fertilisers thing Trillium........ Is it because of the falling temperatures?
