I went to a craft fair at weekend and bought a marjoram plant, can anyone advise me how to take care of it please

Stick it in the ground and it will be grand. You can also grow it in pots.
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.

It is in a 4" pot as I bought it, I will prob put it in a bigger pot. Do you think it should be under cover of a greenhouse or poly tunnel? Is it an annual or can I expect it to survive the English winter?

According to the Herb Expert Site some marjorams are half hardy anuals, and some are perennials like oregano :unsure:
I'd put it in the greenhouse in the hope of getting it through the winter..fingers crossed.
