hi all

i have some caulis growing and i now have about a inch head on them

some of the leafs are being eated and one of the heads looks like someones been at it, i just wondered what i can use or do to keep them in good order so to speak?

they are covered with chicken wire at the moment to stop birds so i know its not them

I suspect you won't get much more than you can see, sorry.   By the time cauliflower curds are visible, then they don't usually get much bigger.   Keep an eye on them and use as soon as the head starts to open up.

Mine started off about an inch or two then grew to a reasonable size over the last 2-3 weeks, the trick is to keep an eye on them, as soon as they start to look like they are  opening up then pull them up whatever the size. If this happens we freeze what we pick to use later.

As for whats eating them I suggest in all this wet weather it must be slugs or snails !
