My cauliflowers are a bit loose  can i stiell eat them or have they got some growing , they are all year round growers .
my brocholy was lovley any ideas .

I eat mine when they're a bit past their best. They're not very crisp, mind, so I tend to hide them in a curry.

You could always use them to make cauliflower soup if they're well past their best, or hide them in a cauliflower cheese.

Often, when caulis go over, they tend to open up a bit (not tight curds), which is what I understood by 'loose'. When you touch them, do they feel firm or a bit rubbery? If they're rubbery, they're past their best but they're still edible.

Did eat them and they were tasty , dont know why they were loose as there is some tkght ones as well and all planted at the same time

It happens. Growing veg isn't an exact science so you can expect the unexpected. Part of the fun.  Cauli, tarragon and tomato soup is very naice  :tongue2:

I like them in spicy food though as cauli is a great carrier. Bit bland so it needs help  :)  Lotty pakora. Mmmmmmm

i had a "loose" one last week made great cauliflower cheese as the cheese got in between all the florets , yummy !

mine are tiny and turned grey  and some are tiny and gone pink, dont think mine are fit to eat.

I had pink ones in greece they tasted abit earthy for me .
Did cauliflower cheese looks quite arty bit like brocholini but white .
