Ok . This is going to sound stupid!

I have and apple tree that is established now for two years. This season it has plenty of nice apples on it. The variety is 'Greensleeves'. Does anyone know when I should harvest them?

Cup one in your hand and give it a slight twist. If it comes off it is ready.

There are no daft questions I was told until I asked basically the same question as you did, what was the reply, 'when they're ripe' I'm not bitter

I think it's a bit early at the moment, wait at least until september.  If the pips are brown, it's ripe.

My cordons are ready now (they do get full sun), although my other trees (standards) aren't ready yet. I wait until the wasps start to get interested.

My discovery are just about ready, a little tart perhaps but not long now, there they hang big red and juicy looking, lovely jubbly
