OK best to skip the Gourds and Sunflowers phase then!

When I was 15 I bought my first greenhouse, started growing veg for the "Chef", and started collecting things like Fuchsias.

My parents knew nothing about gardening, but were encouraging and found a number of "fanatics" locally for me to spend time with and learn from.
