A triffid?!
« on: July 03, 2010, 07:58 »
Growing veg. for the first time and think I have made a mistake in putting my courgette plants too close to other stuff....know they grew big but think one of mine must be  triffid it's huge and growing quick...someone suggested next year to grow them on the comnpost heap...does anyone do that ?

Yes some people do that, although obviously you don't want to be adding fresh compost on top of the planted plant

Not done it myself but others on here have; hopefully someone will be along at some point or you could try searching for other posts with the link near the top of the page.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

I got a load of fresh manure in January so put it in a pallet cage to rot down and planted my courgette plants in the top. already had a few off them and loads more flowers on their way!
