Crazy spuds.
« on: June 22, 2010, 20:04 »
I planted my 1st earlies, Lady Chrystl in plastic bins on the 10/4.
I planted my early maincrop, King Edwards on the 3/5.
I planted my late maincrop, Golden Wonder on the 3/5.

Lady Chrystl have not flowered yet, but I'm not really expecting them to for about another two weeks or so.
KE, are about two feet high but no flowers. They aren't due yet.
Golden Wonder...........three feet high and flowering!

Just what is happening this year?

Not all varieties of spuds flower.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Stress?  Have you been watering them?
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Only the last two day's. (Thinks. Is this what has triggered them?)

It's me who's getting stressed.................!

My earlies were put back several weeks by frost.  If you have any frost damage, that might be the cause of the last earlies!
