Here comes summer part 2
« on: June 16, 2010, 20:36 »
The strawberries I posted a piccie of in my earlier Here come's summer thread have not disappointed

What else could a girl do faced with that lot but make strawberry pavlova

Anyone for a slice  :nowink:  I have bravely tasted it to make sure it's OK and lived to tell the tale.........burp

It's been a trying year for crops so far so I'm making the very best of what I do get, so lets see some piccies of what's your best triumph so far and cheer us all up.

From a rather full up New Shoot

New Shoot that looks absolutely delish ---- if only I'd known half an hour ago I'd have been round

I'm now full up with raspberry cheescake  :nowink:

but would have sacrificed it for pavlova

In the words of Shaggy from ScoobyDoo - now that's like impossible

Todays harvest has a distinctly allium theme

What was left of the overwintered onions that hadn't bolted. I know they aren't quite ready but they were so scattered it seemed silly to keep using up so much ground for what was left

Garlic

Some container new potatoes and a bunch of spring onions (was stuggling a bit for anything else)

I'm green with envy over your spring onions. I have some coming..thanks to encouragement on this board, but they aren't close to yours yet.

Agreed, potato salad..who grows dill?
