Following on from the very sad news that Animal mad had most of her stock and equipment stolen, it has spured me on to look at insurance, has anyone else got it? If so who with?
I don't live that far from animalmad and know how i would feel if this happened to me.

If you find out anything about insurance let us know as i cant find anyone who will cover for poultry theft like ours,, we to are trying to get insured as well but is doesnt seem that easy.
the same night we were hit the police told us 4 other holdings were hit as well .
i would love some hatching eggs, we should get together when everything has settled down.Did you want the gold laced boy or are after an older one.

Has anyone tried the NFU?  I haven't investigated them or any others for that matter as I only have 5 hens and a hen house in our garden.  Perhaps it is worth asking them?
