Drills for me. I'm way behind this year as a lot know, but next on the list is carrorts. A couple of 32" rows of Autumn King - that's me sorted until next spring.

My June sown ones last year by far out performed the April ones.

sowed several rows carrots not one has come up never been able to grow them - trying one last time this weekend in tubs then I shan't bother again and use the space  for something else. But then S*ds law will happens they will all show themselves when I ve planted somthing else

 
  Dont give up with your carrots !! For 2 years I planted them in the ground, cosseted them and where everything else grew my carrots were a failure. Some were straggly, others didnt bother showing and the ones I thought were a slight success were the victims of the dreaded carrot root fly. This year I bought some large containers that were 18 inches deep and I have the most beautiful crop of healthy untouched baby carrots I could have wanted. The depth of the tubs have helped against root fly and the compost used must have been suited for them as well. I cant wait to harvest my first unblemished crop. Keep on persevering. x

My carrots, beetroot and parsnips seeds are only just catching up. I think I planted too early! Hope your growing season goes from strength to strength from now on, everyone, good luck!
