Yes!

Some people help them along by tickling the flower's "naughty bits" with an artist's paintbrush, more prudish types (like me) just give the plants a gentle shake from time to time!
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

One of the best things about being an orang-utan is the fact that you don't lose your good looks as you get older

My first chilli plant is also in flower but the flowers are falling off, what am I doing wrong?

The plant & flowers appear to be healthy, the white flower opens and than simply dies and falls off. These are the first flowers, there are more forming at the top but Im concerned I will loose these too.

Can anyone offer some advise?

Are you sure they have not set any fruits? The flower petals fall off even if they have been pollinated leaving behind a very tiny embryo fruit.

Try paintbrush-tickling if you are not sure.

Jay, no, the whole flower is falling off, including the base and stem that joins it to the main plant.

Im wondering if this is because the flower has not been pollinated and the plant knows this, so it simply kills it off.

I will try the 'brush' method to try and pollinate the other flowers, and see if this makes a difference.
