Like a potato?
« on: June 06, 2010, 12:59 »
I have 3 raised beds built this year in one of them it looks like I have 2 potato plants although they arnt bushy yet (only small) they are growing between my veg but all my potatos are in tubs?? Thebes was filled with shop bought compost, manure and old compost from pots mixed withcontents from the compost bin (I'm sure there were no potatoes in it) is there anything else it could be or should I leave it and see what it does?

I went round to my mates mums allotment the other day and she had the same thing, it is actually a potatoe plant and had grew from potatoe peeling that were in thhe home made compost, she thought they had all rotted down but obviously they hadnt, anyway we harvested them and had them as new potatoes. A nice surprise harvest :D
