no they are the same as any chickens - some people find one breed flighty whilst others don't. If you choose silkies don't expect many eggs as they are notorious for going broody at the drop of an egg

. My sablepoots are very friendly (Mrs poot loves to sit on your head) but not very forthcoming on the egg front but I'm not too bothered as I have these cause they are cute. If you get any cockerels their crowing can be very high pitched and shrill

Bantam faverolles are very nice as are bantam araucanas (and these lay blue/green eggs).
You would do best though to check out the different breeds find out which you like the look of then ask about temperament
