went in b&q today buying some bedding plants and as usual i always look on the reduced plants stands whether they are pot bound, not watered, or dying of a bit anyway i was looking around and i spotted the bargain of the century a £30 magnolia's being sold for £5 it was a nice sized plant bush around a metre tall with loads of branches and the best is that theres nothing wrong with it at all

good one! the garden centre near me does stuff like that just go after they've flowered and there upto 70% off.

Bargains are great but you have to be there at the right time! Never happens to me

Some years back we were rooting around in the garden centre and at the back in the sale section we spied a really big beautiful acer in a huge pot. I can't remember how much exactly it was but under £10. We both did a double take and couldn't believe our eyes.

We got it to the till and the assistant immediately queried it but said if the ticket said that was the price then we had obviously got a bargain. Other people in the queue immediately starting asking where we found it and all left to see if they could find one like it. Know they didn't because we had the only one

It sits on our patio and is absolutely gorgeous.
