With-holding periods
« on: May 24, 2010, 02:07 »
Is it absolutely necessary to have an egg with-holding period after worming? Two veterinary sites both say yes for meat production but disagree with each other when it comes to eating the eggs.
Do you still eat the eggs during first 7 days after worming?

what have you wormed them on? I don't stop eating my eggs when treating with flubenvet but you shouldn't sell the eggs during this period. As for meat birds, I would wait at least a week after treating with any treatment.
Staffies are softer than you think.

Hi, I'm always confused about worming.  I got the flubenvet powder and we have wormed the 3 hens at Christmas and Easter but they roam free all day in the garden eating bugs non stop.  I saw something that said you should worm every month is this right?
