Crusty noses
« on: May 20, 2010, 19:19 »
No not mine the chooks!  They were a bit snuffly for the past couple of weeks which seems to have cleared up now.  However, today I noticed the nostrils on one side of a hen looked different to the other.  Closer inspection revealed one nostril almost blocked up with a crust.  Gently wiping with a warm wet cloth removed the blockage and no doubt helps her breathe much easier.  Two of the other girls had similar problems but not so bad.  Well worth checking if your girls have been snuffly. alison
