The only weeds I have are hiding under the netting.... they appear to like the security behind bars

Or is it that the hoe can't get under there without me making the effort to lift the nets?  ::)

Therein lies the answer of why I am not growing brassicas this year
"I think the carrot infinitely more fascinating than the geranium. The carrot has mystery. Flowers are essentially tarts. Prostitutes for the bees. There is, you'll agree, a certain je ne sais quoi oh so very special about a firm young carrot" Withnail and I

If you do fancy using net curtains- making your plot look very swish - you can pick them up quite cheap in the charity shops. :)

Ha Ha, you got it in one.
Where are all the weeds
I've got plenty if you want me to send you some
Ah it's only weed-free cos after I dug that bit in early spring I put the black matting back over it to stop any more coming up!!
They'll be back, I'm sure.  I have a thistle invasion elsewhere on the plot.  I'm sure they appear every time I turn my back.  :)
Lotty holder since Aug 09... I've FINALLY finished clearing it! On with the p.lanting  ....
