I had a poorly chuck on Friday and took her to the vet.  He didn't diagnose her with anything specific.  He ruled out crop and egg problems.

Anyway, he put her on Baytril for seven days.  She has had 3 dosages and she is soooo much better.  Just as she was before she was ill 

My question is - Do I finish her course of antibiotics (4 more days) or can I stop now and save them should she get ill again?  She is quite difficult to catch and I don't want to stress her out unnecessarily

Nicola, you must complete the course otherwise the symptoms can come back and be even worse

Not only for the sake of the hen....... as said the illness could come back worse... But
courses of antibiotics that are cut short allow the build up of resistance to the antibiotic and create the super bacteria that are so hard to treat now.... like MRSA etc
