JParkers blueberrys
« on: May 13, 2010, 12:56 »
Has anyone else bought blueberrys from them ?

I purchased the collection last year, 5 plants but 2 of them, Spartan and Gold Traube haven't broken dormancy yet and Im getting a little worried they are actually dead.

Am I being impatient or should I drop them an email about it?

Snip a piece of them off.

If it is brown all through it is dead and will snap easily.

If the wood in the middle is soft and sappy it is alive.

Theres not a lot to snap to be honest ...  I have lightly scratched the stem and although not woody Im not convinced its alive either..

We went for that offer too. Ours are all in 2 big pots (I know we'll have to repot in a year or two but we didn't have enormous 50cm pots...), we planted them about 2 months ago and they're all well in leaf with one plant having a small flower head, so I'm hoping for 5 or 6 blueberries this year.

but that doesn't sound too promising for yours?

No it doesn't does it  :( Thanks for the confirmation - I've sent them an email. Hopefully service will be better than T&M who still haven't responded after 3 weeks !

I've bought quite a lot from them as their prices are really good. Only had one problem but had a replacement sent with no argument. Would definitely recommend them  :D
