But don't some of the pellets say they're wildlife friendly?  What does that mean?

the birds dont eat em ,.but hedgehogs eat the slugs that the pellets kill n then die as well :roll:  :x

That's the dilemma isn't it!  If there is someone in the close vacinity that is using pellets, then do ou really want to attract wildlife that could then be put in jeopardy?  

Admittedly there's probably enough slugs on our plot to keep a family of hedgehogs fed for a while, but you cannot confine them to just your plot can you?
