It's forecast to go down to 2 degrees tonight, which means possible ground frost. Will it stay frost free in the greenhouse, or should I get the heater going?

I'd either cover your stuff with fleece, or put your heater on......that's what you have it for :)

Well, I have put it on but have to keep running out to check that it's not either burning too high and smoking or gone out completely. It's very temperamental. Had a bad experience with smoke last year :(

Depending on what you have growing I'd just go for loads of fleece. I have a paraffin heater too but hardly ever use it, it's just too hard to regulate.
I reckon plants would fare better with a fleece covering rather than being really warm/hot all night.
First timer, NOT enjoying the backache anymore!

Unfortunately I don't have any fleece.  I have squashes, tomatoes, sweetcorn, chillies etc. I did use the parafin heater but when I went out this morning found it had gone out sometime during the night. Everything was fine though, so maybe it wasn't really necessary. I might get some fleece though just to get me through the rest of May.
