Hi -
Had a few problems with mice eating the peas when they were sown last year & have heard that you can soak them in parafin before sowing to stop this happening. First of all, I wanted to know if this is just regular parafin you buy in the chemist or parafin you use in lamps?
I'm told by my mother the chemist parafin has no smell or taste so not sure it's the right stuff or maybe it smells to the mice 
Does anyone else do this & does it work? If so how long do you soak them for?

I used to soak mine for a few hours then plant them and use regular parrafin from the garage, but now I just sow into paper pots about 2 x 4 inch high then palnt them in with a bulb dibber  when theyre strong enough

It's regular paraffin.

Thanks for that, so now i know what type of Paraffin it is, the next silly question is where do I buy it from?
