My dad's grape vine grew brilliantly planted outside and entering the greenhouse at one corner at ground level but it might depend upon the variety...

It is best to have the roots outside as this lessens any watering problems.

I agree with the above advice, plant outside and grow into the greenhouse.cover the root area with a couple of tiles to keep the rootball cool.

My dad's has a girt great pile of well rotted manure on the roots of his vine.... this helped keep it cool and damp!
