Planted radish and a few other bits in a raised bed, specially made for my three children, on Saturday and they were through on Wednesday. Four days...

I've been pulling the open heads off as I feed the chickens in the morning, at the moment I'm having to pull more off in the evening when I close the greenhouse door. Wish my beans grew as quickly :(

my plot neighbour hates dandelion flowers as if they're anthrax spores and he mowed mine as I said I was leaving them for the bumble bees who love to bumble about on them before going off to pollinate our veg.  He gleefully mowed them but they were back the very next day, leaving him scratching his head  :D  That'll larn im  :tongue2:

I had the same - we sowed some mixed lettuce and beetroot seeds Sunday and by Wednesday they were up, and first signs of some carrots a day later.

Isn't it lovely.

Downside - the weeds will be sprouting quicker too
Lotty holder since Aug 09... I've FINALLY finished clearing it! On with the p.lanting  ....
