As they are male dogs they probably pose less risk than would be found on any allotment where there are foxes.

Sorry I can't help you directly, but one thing I thought people reading this thread might be interested in is the idea of a dog poo wormery.  In the design and construction (I think) area, someone has linked to a company (sorry can't remember the name) who sell wormeries specifically for dog poo.  You mustn't mix dog poo with other waste and they advise using the resulting compost on the flower beds rather than the veg beds.
