Stick them in a net bag and chuck em in the washing machine.  About 50C should do it.  Spin cycle optional

Been using an eraser today, works a treat, well it would wouldn't it that's what they're for.

I use cream cleanser. It leaves them like new.

Don't forget to moisturise so they don't get brittle.

I don't bother with Jif (or Cif if you must ) just one of those metal pan scourers and some washing up water.  Interesting about the moisturiser though, as they do get brittle - what do you use Ice  - Oil of Olay or Boots?

I like the one that Norwegian fishermen use on their hands.  Lasts for days and the rain doesn't wash it off.
