Peas
« on: April 01, 2010, 18:17 »
Hi all, am still new to all this.
I have some peas in the greenhouse that are now ready to plant out. The variety is "Pea Meteor". Having looked on the website, it states that they are a dwarf variety. What does this mean ? Will they not need canes or anything to grow up ?

Thanks in advance

Tyke

They'll be short ones but might need some short stakes to hold the pods off the ground. Most UKrs net their peas against birds which love to pick out the young greens.

Trilliums right , my peas are netted 100% of the time. Ive seen my neighbours gone.

Everyone likes peas  :D
I'm very important. I have many leather-bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany.
