Which general fertiliser is best
« on: March 05, 2010, 15:30 »
This is my second year of growing veg and my small plot at home. Last year I didn't buy any fertilisers at all and reading Carol Klein's book I should be using a general fertiliser on my soil. Can anyone recommend which is the cheapest and best to use. I did use blood fish and bone but not sure if that is what is a general fertiliser.

I use Growmore find that works for me.  But to be honest you cant beat loads of well rotted horse muck.

Anything that improves the fertility is a fertiliser. A nice bit o well rotted oss muck (without aminopyralid ) and/or a sprinkle of BFB will see you right for most veg.
