Talking of toilet roll tubes,  if  you make them into square shapes, i.e. flatten one way and then the other, they fit much easier into a seed tray :)  I may be teaching my grandmother to suck eggs with that one.


Did not think of that. I had a nightmare with soil going everywhere last year.

I keep all of my eggs shells (and my neighbour saves them for me too) which I keep in a big plastic tub and scatter them around tender plants the slugs might like to keep them away.
