Have you tryed potting on some cuttings and freezing good leaves in ice cube trays?

Saw a scribble in one of my books about freezing ice-cubes of pesto - good way to use up a load of basil. And I *never* use a whole jar of pesto so problem2 solved!!

When you make your pesto, or any mashed up herb mix, try adding a bit of fizzy/sparkling mineral water - its s'posed to help keep them fresher for longer, particularly if you freeze it -think that's how it goes anyway,  I've done that a few times, but can't testify to success rates, as nothing seems to last that long in my house, before it gets used up!!  Particularly Pesto if my brother is about!
