were to put my Brussels (harvested)??
« on: February 24, 2010, 13:59 »
They are still on  their stalks I don't have much time at the moment to prepare and freeze them, will they be ok in my plastic green house with the door open ??
some people are like slinkys......they're really good for nothing, but they still bring a smile to your face as you push them down the stairs!!

do you not have some compost you could plant them in temporary until you are ready to use them, just to keep them fresh.
i dont suffer with insanity..........i enjoy every minute of it.

I don't think they will harm, because ASDA had them for sale over Christmas, and they were on the shelves for a week.
I would be inclined to put them in a bucket of water like a bunch of flowers.

That brought back memories of my dog , a stalk of brussels to a puppy is like bubble wrap is to humans.............they`ve all got to be demolished.

Digging the plants into soil or compost in a puppy proof area will keep them fresh if the roots are still on.

somewhere cold but protected from frost will do, like a shed.

Keep them in the light - otherwise they will go yellow.
