What potatoes were they?!

My Grandma has just been talking about some salad potatoes she ate in france and Italy which were very yellowy in colour and very waxy but aparrently the 'best potatoes she had ever had'
Any idea what they were called? Long shot!

We had the very same experience this chrsitmas - try Mona Lisa.

Although my beau Pere grew them he did not plant them so he was not 100% sure. A look in our supplier catalogue matches up descriptions too.

We'd already put in our spud order by then but we'll be planting them next year for definate.
