Bonemeal and/or Blood, Fish and Bone and Foxes

I have had problems with foxes digging up newly potted or bedding plants in my garden when I have used either bonemeal or BFB fertilizers.

As there are foxes living in the bramble on the allotment site, I am loathed to use it there, has anyone had similar problems and if so what alternative did you use?

I put some cardboard round my compost heap, to keep it in and keep it warm. The fox has been known to extract the cardboard from the boxes from dried cat food - and then express himself very clearly

when the smell doesn't deliver anything edible!

So I can't see why the same wouldn't apply to bfb or bonemeal .....

Clever noses these foxes have!

I had to stop using BFB as the local foxes dug and dug -- presumably seraching for the chooks they could smell

have you tried calcified seaweed instead of BFB OR BONE MEAL
