Massive green egg! Ostrich or chicken?
« on: January 12, 2010, 21:42 »
I am wondering if my Cream Crested Legbar is in fact a rare breed of ostrich, on the account of the massive egg she has laid today!!! It is bigger than a duck egg - she seems ok though, albeit a bit cross eyed

What do you think?

You're doing well Debbie, wow blue eggs (is she the same age as our Araucana Hen Solo?)!
Our legbar has already laid us a double yolker - this one is even bigger!!! Her normal eggs weigh around 50g this on is 90g!
We are still waiting for the other four girls to follow suit, our little Wyandotte Doily lays regularly every other day. Nothing yet from our Dotty, how is her sister doing?
We are fighting over who is going to get to eat this monster egg!
