anyone ever planted them out this time of year before? When the didnt arrive in november assumed they would come in the early spring, so havent really prepared the bed all that well yet. And its snowing today!

I don't think they'll appreciate being planted out in poorly prepared soil in this weather and I suspect many would just rot. I reckon your best bet would be to pot them up into small pots (3" maybe )and put them in a coldframe until you've prepared the ground properly and the weather is a bit milder. They should be fine in the pots until early spring.

I planted mine out last weekend, strawberys are prety tough

Strawberries are pretty tough, but why take the risk of planting out now if you don't have to (especially in view of the weather forecast for the next few days!)

I agree with Nobbie, pot them up until the spring when the ground has , hopefully , dried out a bit.
