Ok so i know its late but i gave it a go
« on: May 15, 2007, 09:34 »
As most are aware i am a complete novice at gardening.until very recently  i never had the garden to grow in.
in the last two weeks my garden has leeks, lettuce ,strawberry, pumpkin, butternut squash, rosemary, tomato plants in.
from seed we are growing sunflowers, dill, parsley, basil, cress, parsnips.carrots,
it might not seem a lot to some of you guys who are expert gardeners but i am so chuffed.i realise that some  (prob most)wont be no good this year)
all the seeds are coming up i just have to protect them from slugs.
thanks guys for all your advice which i have had from you over the last few weeks.(hope it continues)
 :D

Hi Muffet,

I am dead impressed! It took me ages to decide what to grow and prepare the ground on my lottie. This is only my second season and already learning plenty of lessons in how not to do things.

I treated my first season as a test; a barometer to know how easily stuff grows even if you have zero experience and meagre knowledge.

This year I have been a bit more ambitious and am growing all sorts.

Good luck and welcome to a life-long obsession!

Best wishes
Mister Plough

Most impressive  :tongue2: ... like the enthusiasm  :D  ... I'm still dodging rain clouds to get some onions in ... now that is late !!  :?

You could also try other salads, raddishes, beetroot, chard and spinach. And there is still heaps of time for successions of peas and beans

Nothing ventured nothing gained eh?  :D
